Privacy notice
How we handle personal information on this website, and the rights you have over it.
This notice explains what personal information Delapsus Resurgam Studios Ltd collects through this website, why, and what you can do about it. We have kept it short because the site collects very little.
Who we are
Delapsus Resurgam Studios Ltd is the controller of the personal information described here. You can reach us about anything in this notice at [email protected], or by post at our registered office: 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA, United Kingdom.
What we collect and why
When you get in touch
The contact form on this site does not send anything to us by itself. It opens your own email app with a message ready for you to send. If you send it, or email us directly, we receive your name, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us about your project.
We use this only to reply to you, to discuss the work you have asked about and, if we agree to work together, to set that up. Our lawful bases are our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our business and, where you are asking about a project, taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Please do not send us sensitive information, such as health details, in an enquiry. We do not need it.
When you visit the site
Like every website, the servers that deliver this site record basic technical information when pages are requested, such as your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. Our hosting provider processes this for us to keep the site running and secure, under our legitimate interest in protecting the site and its visitors.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, we do not use social media plugins, and the fonts are served from our own site, so your visit is not shared with Google Fonts or similar services.
Your theme choice
If you switch between the light and dark theme, your browser remembers the choice on your own device. That setting is never sent to us. See our cookies and storage page for details and to switch it off.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information or share it for marketing. It is handled by a small number of service providers who act on our instructions:
- our email provider, which stores the messages you send us;
- our website hosting provider and its content delivery and security network, which deliver the site and keep it protected.
We may also share information with professional advisers, or where the law requires us to, for example to respond to a valid request from a court or regulator.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers may process information outside the UK. When that happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on safeguards approved under UK law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 2 years after our last contact, then deleted.
- Enquiries that lead to work: kept with the project records for up to 6 years after the work ends, so we can deal with any questions or claims.
- Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a short period for security, then deleted in line with its own retention schedule.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- delete your information;
- restrict how we use it, or object to us using it on the basis of our legitimate interests;
- move information you gave us to another organisation, where that applies.
Email [email protected] to use any of these rights. It is free, and we will reply within one month. We may need to confirm your identity first. We do not make decisions about you by automated means.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can email a data protection complaint to [email protected], or write to us at our registered office. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days, look into it without undue delay, keep you updated and tell you the outcome.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
